You can create new Projects on your account on the web version. Once a project is created, then you can assign tasks to other LPT Linear Progress Tracker users so they can update progress on their assigned tasks by using their mobile phones. Progress is automatically updated and synchronized to the cloud and data is available for you to download to an Excel Spreadsheet.
Create projects, assign tasks to other LPT Linear Progress Tracker users to get progress inputs, review/modify progress detail on each task, download progress data, transfer projects, report graphic progress on linear tasks (Beta), clone projects, delete projects.

Follow these 4 easy steps to Create a new Project:
Once you log into your account on the LPT Linear Progress Tracker website, on the Active Projects screen click on the “+Create Project” button on the top left corner. Fill out the required fields: Project name, Project type, Project ID, Measurement unit, Project Start Distance, Project End Distance, # of Segments, # of Linear Tasks, # of Location-Based Tasks and click on Next.
You have the option to fill out the required fields, or upload Tasks information from an Excel Spreadsheet.
Required data for Linear Tasks: Task ID, Task Name.
Required data for Location-Based Tasks: Task ID, Task Name, Task Location (Distance).
If you choose to Import Tasks from an Excel Spreadsheet, you need to click on the “Import” dropdown menu on the top right corner and download the Excel Template file(s). Once you have the Project Tasks data on the Template(s), click on the “Import” dropdown menu, select “Upload Template”, and then click on Save.
Click on Next.
You have the option to fill out the required fields, or upload Segments information from an Excel Spreadsheet.
Required data for Segments: Segment Name, Start Distance, End Distance.
If you choose to Import Segments from an Excel Spreadsheet, you need to click on the “Import” dropdown menu on the top right corner and download the Excel Template file. Once you have the Project Segments data on the Template, click on the “Import” dropdown menu, select “Upload Template”, and then click on Save.
Click on Next.
Take a moment to review the Project information entered. If any changes are needed you can use the “Go Back” button on the lower left corner and modify the Project data as required. If no Project data changes are needed, click on Save. The system will take you to the Active Projects screen and will display the new Project.
Project Type icon, Project Name & Creation date and time will be displayed on each Active Project below the Project Name. A Yellow start on the left side of the Project Type icon indicates you are the Project owner.
Share your Project with other LPT Linear Progress Tracker users to get progress updates:
a) Click on the Project / Segment you want to share.
b) On the right end side, below the green Segment stripe, click on the “Assign Tasks” button.
c) Enter the LPT Linear Progress Tracker user’s email address and select the Tasks to assign to this user, then click on Save.
Tasks assigned to the selected user will now appear on this user’s LPT Linear Progress Tracker account. This user can provide now Progress updates on the assigned Tasks by using the LPT Linear Progress Tracker app on a mobile phone. Progress updates are saved automatically on the user’s mobile phone and synchronized to the cloud as soon Wi-Fi signal is available.
Assigned Tasks can be recovered or re-assigned at any time by the project owner, by following the same procedure (a, b, c) above.
On the Active Projects screen, at the right end of the Project Stripe, click on the “3 dot” icon, select “Report” from the options. LPT Linear Progress Tracker will create the Distance Overall Progress report. This is a Graphic Chart that shows a summary of the Progress on Linear Tasks including all the Project Segments.
LPT Linear Progress Tracker uses the total Project length and creates equal-length clusters. For every Linear Task in the Project, Blue color indicates that the cluster is fully progressed. Light Blue color indicates that there is progress in the cluster, but that portion of the project is not finished yet.
On the Active Projects screen, at the right end of the Project Stripe, click on the “3 dot” icon, select “Transfer” from the options. Enter the email address of the LPT Linear Progress Tracker user that you want to Transfer the Project to. Click on Save.
The Project will be removed from your Active Projects screen and will be transferred to the LPT Linear Progress Tracker user you indicated.
On the Active Projects screen, at the right end of the Project Stripe, click on the “3 dot” icon, select “Export” from the options. A window will appear for you to select the folder where you want to download the Project Progress Data to an Excel file. By default, the Excel file will take the Project Name plus the download date, but it can be saved under any other name. Select the folder on your local drive, click on Save.
Detailed Project Progress for each task is available now on a Spreadsheet format including Task ID, Task Name, Segment, Project Name, Progress Date, Inspector Name, Start Distance, End Distance and Progress Quantity.
Clone option works when a new Project needs to be created with similar content to one of the Projects available on the Active Projects screen.
On the Active Projects screen, at the right end of the Project Stripe, click on the “3 dot” icon, select “Clone” from the options. A confirmation pop up window will appear, click on Clone.
The same forms on the creation of a new Project option (Create new Project / Steps 1-4) will be pre-filled with the Project Data coming from the source Project selected to Clone. Change or modify the Project data as needed from Step 1 to Step 4. Once this process is finished, the cloned Project will appear on the Active Projects screen.
If any Project from the Active Projects screen needs to be removed, simply click on the “3 dot” icon at the right end of the Project Stripe and select “Delete” from the options.
A pop-up window will be displayed asking to confirm. Once the Project has been removed, it will not be possible to recover the Project information.
